TAK – Team Awareness Kit
F2S was created in February 2022 with the singular mission of providing creative solutions to complex security related problems. We started by offering training programs to civilian security teams in houses of worship and school personnel with active shooter response and mass casualty medical care. That quicky morphed into developing and designing the proprietary ASESS Board which brought us into the realm of ballistic protection allowing us to use custom designs that provided a level of protection while also being aesthetically pleasing and blending in the décor of the end user. We now offer everything from glass laminates to full on replacement ballistic doors and windows.
It was only matter of time, as F2S expanded its role and its reach into the international market that we would move into the technology space as part of our natural progression. In late 2023, we were exposed to TAK (Team Awareness Kit) and fortunate enough to partner with StrategixC2 Solutions in our quest to continuously evolve as a company to provide our clients and end users what we feel are the best security related options and products.
What is TAK?
TAK or the Team Awareness Kit, is a robust cost-effective system that allows you to streamline and simplify complex tasks by bringing command and control and real time situational awareness into one centralized location on a dedicated server using an encrypted mesh network over phones and tablets.
What does that actually mean?
What that means is, that with a minimum amount of technology and equipment we can take your existing systems and infrastructure and enhance it to make you and your personnel more effective and efficient with their day-to-day duties and responsibilities while simultaneously increasing your capabilities exponentially.
How do we do that?
We start by building out an encrypted dedicated server, the “Brains” of the system, which is built to your specific wants needs and mission profile and housed either cloud based on AWS or securely housed in a physical location of your choosing.
We then pair or marry the brains of the system to your individual and department technology. We can try to use your existing equipment be it smart phones, computers and monitors to keep costs down or we can equip your department with the recommended dedicated Samsung devices from the X-cover 6 pro for the individual officers and personnel, tablets to be deployed in vehicles and mobile command centers, Smart TV’s and dedicated computers for headquarters and offices.
How does it work?
TAK is incredibly versatile and can be used in too many ways to adequately dive into and list here. However, you can take comfort in knowing that TAK is currently deployed and being used by the DOD, Federal and State LE agencies, Fire and EMS, Allied Foreign governments, and military as well as civilians.
F2S in partnership with StrategixC2S has successfully deployed TAK with many of the above referenced agencies and entitles. We take great pride in being what we believe to be the first entity the first to outfit and deploy TAK in a private school providing them with revolutionary and cutting-edge capabilities never contemplated.
How F2S/StrategixC2 deployed TAK:
Everyone deployed with a TAK enabled device can do the following:
- See every person and vehicle deployed with TAK, either static or moving, in real time on the TAK map which makes up the screen of each device. (This allows for full battlespace situational awareness and cuts down on blue-on-blue friendly fire incidents or the ability to respond to an officer[s] in need)
- Each user deployed with TAK will get a callsign designation. That callsign designation will appear as the person on the TAK map. (This allows for discreet communication and clandestine operations without revealing the actual operators, agents or personnel involved)
- Communicate with any other officer, command or other personnel on the server through an encrypted mesh network. (This allows for secure communication impervious to hacking from the enemy or even other agencies or entities if not allowed access to the server either indefinitely or for a specific mission. TAK allows multiple entities to marry servers for a joint operation allowing for seamless communication and integration and then separate the servers after the mission closing and securing the individual networks)
- Send encrypted text, photos, or streaming video from an individual device, K-9’s or drone feeds. (TAK has split screen capabilities allowing both a map view and a live feed to be seen side by side enabling the user to not only see the live feed but see where on the map the source of the live feed is, what direction of travel and the field of view of the camera providing the live feed. This allows the commander either on the ground or back in the command center to get real time data to make instantaneous decisions)
- Mission planning: TAK allows the importing of numerous maps from google to military to topographical and more. Missions can be planned in advance and created in a data package which can include the labeling and pre-designation of: target locations, known hostiles, unknown hostiles, obstacles, terrain, routes to and from the X, evacuations routes, Casualty Collection points, LZ for air assets, observation points, snipers, tactical team staging, mobile command center, and much more.
- Geo Fencing: TAK allows users and mission planners to establish invisible perimeter fencing around structures and/or areas of operation which would trigger an alarm if users breach the perimeter either by entering or leaving giving the time, date and coordinates of such a breach and the callsign of the breacher.
- Live Streaming: TAK allows each device to operate like a body camera and live stream using the internal camera to do so and broadcast to other team members, team commander, back to headquarters individually and collectively.
This is but a small snapshot of some of the capabilities of TAK. It is a game changer for Law Enforcement and civilian end users alike allowing for the dissemination of all kinds of information and real time situational awareness. This system allows officers/agents to work faster, better, more economically and safer.
