Threat Level: Intermediate

Western Asia – Middle East – Israel-Lebanon Conflict

Incident: On the 25th of October, Israel launched their long awaited retaliation against Iran. Strikes were reported in western Tehran, Karaj, and Bidkaneh. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Fatah barracks, Ameer Al-Mo’menin missile base, and several others were key locations the Israeli Air Force targeted. However, Iranian officials claimed that most if not all Israeli missiles were intercepted. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle with some missiles being intercepted while others struck their targets accurately.

Threat Level: Medium

Risk Mitigation Recommendations: Like with the last few attacks between Israel and Iran, civilians are advised to stay away from military facilities during these attacks as both Iran and Israel are more likely to aim for military facilities.

Incident: On the 26th of October, a Jaish al-Adl ambush in Goharkoh, Sistan and Balochistan region of Iran left 10 Iranian police officers dead.

Threat Level: Intermediate

Risk Mitigation Recommendations: Jaish al-Adl remains a persistent threat in southern Iran. Civilians should maintain their distance from military facilities and police stations as much as possible.

Eastern Asia – Pacific

Incident: On the 30th of October, North Korea launched their longest duration ICBM test yet setting both new records for North Korean missile tests. The flight duration was around an hour and 26 minutes while the maximum altitude achieved was greater than 7000 kilometers (around 4350 miles).

Threat Level: Low

Risk Mitigation Recommendations: As with most North Korean missile launches, anyone residing in areas that receive a shelter advisory should follow that advisory however most of these missile tests typical fall into the water harmlessly.
